Effects of selenium adaptation on intestinal morphology, antioxidant-relate genes expression and intestinal microflora of grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella)

In the study, effects of selenium on intestinal tissue morphology, antioxidant-related genes, and flora grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) were studied. For this purpose, 180 healthy carps (20.0±2.0 g) randomly divided into three groups with replicates each: corresponding amount anhydrous sodium selenite was added to make experimental water solutions different concentrations, including 0 μg/L Se4+ (control group), 200 group 300 group. The experiment carried out for 42 days. obtained results showed that: at end experiment, adaptation can have beneficial villi height goblet cells. CuZnSOD CAT genes mRNA levels intestine strongly upregulated in 200ug/L could increase expression level Hsp70 gene tract after days adaptation. At genus level, most abundant sequence gut Se-treated Pseudomonas, while Aeromon, Flavobacterium, Defluviimonas more control conclusion, study demonstrates that positively affect morphology antioxidant responses alter microbiota structure carp. will provide a theoretical basis further research effect aquatic animals.
